GOLVEN performance
"Golven" (Waves) is a multi-voiced sound performance based on a 60-minute hand written observation of the waves on Inis Oirr, the smallest of the Aran Islands on the West coast of Ireland on the 22nd of April 2011 from 12:20 till 13:20. By re-writing the text while at the same time pronouncing it at the speed of writing, the period of observation will be reconstructed in the right proportions of time. The voices, which will be spread over the space, will flow into one due to the active acustics of the croxhapox spaces.
'Golven' is een meerstemmige geluidsperformance gebaseerd op een 60 minuten durende handgeschreven observatie van de golven op de kust van Inis Oirr, het kleinste van de Aran Islands aan de westkust van Ierland op 22 april 2011 van 12:20 tot 13:20. Door de tekst te herschrijven en tegelijk op schrijfsnelheid uit te spreken ontstaat een reconstructie van die observatie in de juiste tijdsverhouding. Door de levendige akoestiek van de ruimte van croxhapox zullen de stemmen, die verdeeld over de ruimte zijn opgesteld, met elkaar samenvloeien tot een klankgeheel.
