1997. crox 61. Paintings and drawings. The first project in Aannemersstraat 54 where both basement and ground floor were used. Simply because the paintings were to large to get into the basement.
The drawings bear no resemblance to e.g. the work of Johan De Wilde but the technique takes a similar method. All works are built from parallel lines in which the writing doesn't allow for a second chance. The same goes for the paintings. The thick pastuous paint is applied in parallel stripes, methodically and almost rigourously, leading to a geometric-abstract pattern, often, but certainly not always, like the pattern of a kitchen towel.
