Dutrieux, Daniël (BE)

Daniël Dutrieux (BE/Liège) is one of the first artists to confirm his participation in Signos, the aborted 1992 project. He and Kari Caven (FI) both propose sculptures in the form of a pole, which closely fits in the original concept of the street project.see werkvergadering see signos
Dutrieux's work was appointed a lawn in Citadelplek. What I remember of the project is the idea that the shadow the meters high pole would paint on the lawn was emphasised as the crucial element of the work, as well in the first design drawings as in the maquette.
